Composition
Lactulose solution 667 g/l, Lactose 60 g/l, Galactose 110 g/l.
 
Indications
Portal systemic encephalo-pathy, constipation, salmonellosis, where a soft stool is required (hemorrhoids, anal / surgery).
 
Contraindications
In patients who require a low galactose diet (galactosemia). Intestinal obstruction.
 
Precautions / Warnings
Lactose intolerance. The use of this drug during pregnancy is considered acceptable.
 
Side Effects
Bloating and flatulence may occur during the first days of treatment. Nausea and vomiting have been reported.
 
Administration
Portal Systemic Encephalopathy
Initially, 30 - 50 ml three times per day.
Adjustment will be required to produce 2 - 3 soft stools per day.
